Disneyland isn’t just a vacation spot for us – it’s part of our love story. My husband and I have been going for years, long before we even got married. Now, we get to share the magic with our kids, and it’s even better than we imagined. Over time, we’ve learned a few tricks (and made a few traditions) that make every trip unforgettable.
While staying at the Disneyland hotels is the dream, the price tag can be a little steep. Our go-to spot is The Grand Legacy at the Park just a five-minute walk to Disneyland’s front gates. It has a fantastic pool, you can watch the fireworks from the hotel, and their rooftop restaurant is soooo good (seriously – worth going just for the drinks).

One of our favorite traditions is dressing up in matching or themed outfits. We’ve done everything from Mickey and Minnie color schemes to classic Disney character-inspired looks. Not only is it adorable for pictures, but it makes the day feel extra magical.

If you can, get the Fast Pass. The lines can be brutal, and this is the ultimate time-saver. Plus, it comes with a huge perk – PhotoPass. That means all those professional shots taken by Disney photographers get uploaded right to your Disney app. No worrying about asking strangers to take a picture or missing a moment.

We always head to Toontown first. It’s usually empty early in the morning, so you can get amazing photos without crowds, let the kids play freely, and even meet Mickey and Minnie with a much shorter wait.

Where We Stay
Stroller = Sanity
We are all-day Disney goers; once we enter, we don’t leave until bedtime. That means naps happen at the park, and having a stroller the kids can comfortably sleep in is a lifesaver.

Hip Carrier for the Win
Lines and strollers don’t mix – most rides require you to park them outside. I promise you, your kids will want to be held while waiting, so a hip carrier saves your back (and your sanity).
